The Getinge Applikon production site is located in Delft (NL), where advanced bioreactor systems from laboratory to pilot and production scale are developed and produced. We support the pharmaceutical industry (vaccines, regenerative drugs, antibodies, body tissues, biopharmaceuticals and biosimilars) as well as industrial microbiology (enzymes, food & beverage, nutraceuticals, biofuels, biochemicals and bio-plastics) in their upstream process. Project Manager


As a Project Manager you are responsible for the successful execution of turn-key projects in the (bio) pharmaceutical industry. In this position you have budget and final responsibility for the project, you coordinate with the customer and internally with the departments involved (including Sales, Purchasing, Production and Quality, in Delft but also in other parts of Getinge). As a Project Manager you keep an overview of the projects in your portfolio and you manage the various project teams and employees with persuasiveness. You work with multidisciplinary teams where you fulfill a connecting, inspiring and delegating role. You report monthly to the Director Custom Projects.


Your core tasks and responsibilities will include:


  • Project management for assigned projects.
  • Managing project teams and project employees.
  • Preparing, managing and monitoring the planning and budget.
  • Supervising the project from order to installation and qualification.
  • Managing risks and acting appropriately in case of deviations or setbacks.
  • Reporting project progress to manager and client.
  • Establishing the project documentation.
  • Conducting project evaluations and carrying out subsequent calculations.
  • Advising on product improvements and innovations as a result of projects and field experiences.


Knowledge, skills and experience


  • Completed Bachelor / Master degree in (technical) Business Administration, Biotechnology or Mechanical Engineering or comparable.
  • Work experience as project manager
  • Affinity with biotechnology.
  • Knowledge of cGMP / FDA / GAMP guidelines.
  • Excellent managerial and organizational qualities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and MS Projects. Experience with IFS is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel abroad.
  • Driving License B.
